TRAINING & CONFERENCESEach year, the NC Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service develops a training plan. This plan is mostly funded and supported through a PDAT grant (Program Development Assistance and Training) from the Corporation for National Service. The purpose of this plan is to:
Specific trainings and conferences are geared both towards National Service Programs only, and the general public as a whole. We also encourage organizations to submit notifications of training opportunities to be published on this site. To find out about events, location and logistics, please email: tim.kelly@ncmail.net. The North Carolina Association of Volunteer Administration (NCAVA) is an excellent resource for both volunteers and volunteer administrators in the state. Their mission is to serve, promote and represent the nonprofit sector and strengthen nonprofits' effectiveness as they improve North Carolina's quality of life.
