Nomination Process
- Each county in the state has a designated person who serves as the local County Coordinator for the Volunteer Awards.
- In the Spring of each year, the County Coordinator issues a local press release/news articles soliciting nominations.
- Any individual, group or business from the public, non-profit and private sector may be nominated.
- All nominations are submitted to the local County Coordinator.
- A local selection committee reviews and ranks all nominations.
- The committee forwards the five highest ranked nominations to the Commission.
