Nomination Process

  1. Each county in the state has a designated person who serves as the local County Coordinator for the Volunteer Awards.
  2. In the Spring of each year, the County Coordinator issues a local press release/news articles soliciting nominations.
  3. Any individual, group or business from the public, non-profit and private sector may be nominated.
  4. All nominations are submitted to the local County Coordinator.
  5. A local selection committee reviews and ranks all nominations.
  6. The committee forwards the five highest ranked nominations to the Commission.
  7. The Commission concurs with recommendations of County Coordinator.
