The North Carolina Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service works to create a culture of service and civic engagement in the state. The Commission encourages community service and volunteerism as a means of problem solving across the state by administering federal funds to community service and volunteer programs such as AmeriCorps and Citizen Corps. State priorities including the Governor's Page Program, the NC Mentoring Partnership and the Governor's Award for Volunteer Service are also managed by the Commission. Above all, the Commission provides valuable support for North Carolina's growing force of volunteers who make extraordinary impacts in the lives of others and help meet community needs. Learn more.
